Support Ticket reply via email. Also update ticket URL (even if it's public department)

Email Piping is the name I believe. I watched the YouTube tutorial a few times, still doesn't click.

  • Does the email reply update the "public" ticket URL? Public because user doesn't have to login to submit a ticket.
  • Does this public URL ticket not work if the email was "marked as read"?
  • Does the public URL ticket only display reply once the cron runs every 5 minutes?

Is "Ticket Importing using Email Forwarders" the best solution if I'm on a VPS / Dedicated box and have a WHM / cPanel setup?

Anywho's, I wish to offer my customers a "reply via email" option while also updating the ticket online. So for example, I have a public form, let's call this "sales" and when some dude fills this out, they get an automated email in their inbox. They can reply and it also updates the ticket
