Whizzy
I thought I had posted this.... But it hasn't appeared. Currently we have WHMCS 5.3.14 installed, and saw an update for 6.1.1 so I thought I would do that. It failed, it seems it just stopped during the database upgrade process and then the page timed out. We are running on a Cpanel Centos 6.7 server running PHP 5.4.4. Reseller Club Mods "RC & LB Tools v2" is installed (Which I like). Apart from that there are no mods to WHMCS and I was about to apply some but thought I would upgrade first. I then went back to a backup, clearing out my public_html directory and database so my system now works albeit on an outdated WHMCS. Some googling indicated that sql_mode being strict may be a problem. I checked and sql_mode is an empty string. Is there a special SQL command I need to run first?
sentq
does your website/server has the minimum requirements for WHMCS v6? try to increase PHP memory_limit
Whizzy
Yes it does, though it did have a PHP memory of 64MB. (I have now made that 128) but I did import a 50MB database into a Concrete install via phpMyAdmin 2 days ago and that worked fine. Our WHMCS install is small and has less than 30 accounts on it so I doubt that was the actual problem. - - - Updated - - - I appear to have accidentally discovered a cool emoticon whilst writing 128 MB with a close bracket. mb)
sentq
as you increased the memory_limit you may try again now
Whizzy
I will do shortly. I've also noticed that I was running PHP 5.4 and Apache 2.2 so have updated both the 5.5 and 2.4. Does anyone know if Reseller Club Mods works on 6.1.1? 8MB)

Whizzy
That looks all good now, though it seemed to take a very long time, probably because of the huge new proliferation of TLDs these days. Many thanks for the help.

WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted December 9, 2015 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted December 9, 2015 Hi, Please review Utilities > Logs > Activity Log at the time of performing a domain lookup for any errors. Also try reducing the number of Bulk Check TLDs selected under Setup > General Settings > Domains tab > Standard Whois > Configure to just 3 or 4.
