standard field for entering a VAT?

Hello to all

 

I new here and setting up everything right.

 

But some issue i can not find. When i test the profile and enter a company name, it don't show the VAT.

Is this normal?

 

So i have created a custom field to show on the order and register page.

But now it shows the VAT below teh page, and want it to show under the Company name.

 

Is this possible? and what is the function of the eu vat addon if there is no standard field for entering a VAT.

it's possible by editing/tweaking your template

I'm all new to this cms.

 

The link i already readed but when i do a test and the client with vat needs to pay 21% in own country. I get notice Free from vat!!!

That i dont get.

I checked all settings, but i dont find the problem.

Are you sure that your client has the right country set in his profile?

Also verify that Setup > Payments > Tax Rules > Tax Enabled is checked.

Thank you for responding. But i checked everything, readed the docs eu vat addon again. But could not find the problem.

A client with no Vat number, shows and pay the tax.

A client company from belgium or netherlands or germany, even when click update button from vat, when they going to payment process, the tax dont show anymore on the payment. When we cancel the transaction and view the pdf invoice, the tax is not there also.

When i look at the clients admin area, i see the client company free from tax = Yes.

When i look at the non company clients, i see the client is not free from tax.

 

Is this a bug in 6.1.1 version?

Hello and thank you for responding.

After testing this module can been manipulated, when entering the correct data from client the Vat shows, but when the data is not correct to the Vat number the Vat is gone and no taxes or charged.

 

Sombody else have this, or should disable the vat validation?
