logs full of LoginLink Fault

Under every client account, the audit log is full of messages like this. They seem to get created whenever staff or user is taking any actions.

LoginLink Fault: (Code: 0, Message: User does not exist - Cannot display account link for unknown user, Service ID: 702)

Anyone know what is causing this and how to stop it ?

i've previously read about "LoginLink Fault" errors with the WebsitePanel module - are you using that ?

if so, might be worth contacting WHMCS support if you're using the official module, or WSP if using theirs.

The so called official module that comes with WHMCS is very old and out of date and only works with WebsitePAnel 1.x. So it is not usable for most people. Also this module actually wasn't even written by WHMCS, it was written by the original DotNetPanel devs before it became WebsitePanel.

So WHMCS support will tell you that you must use the offiical module, which isn't possible as it doesn't work with WebsitePanel 2.x, but if you then have any problems with it, then suddenly they will wash their hands of it and say it wasn't written by them and they cannot support it.

Been there, done that.

However I think this is indirectly linked to the websitepanel module, but that is not the cause of the issue.

look at this picture, this is a screenshot of a product service.

whmcs server field.PNG

See the server dropdown, it turns out that this has default to "websitepanel" for every product even though NONE was originally selected. And if you try to change it to NONE, then it doesn;t work, and it reverts back to "websitepanel".

This is causing an error, because this product is nothing to do with websitepanel, so thus the userid does not exist error.

same answer applies - if it's not directly linked to the wsp module, contact WHMCS support; if it's possibly linked, contact WSP... regrettably, I can't help further as i've never used the module (either of them!)

I have already contacted support, but 9 times out of 10 this is usually about as useful as a chocolate teapot.
