garymchugh
Hi Everyone Just received a ticket from a client with an image attached. Clicked to download image and was taken to client login page. I searched forum and saw a few patches but they were for version 5.12 and we are a little beyond that now. Is there a patch or a fix for the latest version of WHMCS to fix this issue?
SRox
Is the GD library and php version on your server the latest? If not, try updating them and then see if it fixes the issue.

garymchugh
GD and PHP are latest versions. Next Idea! This is very frustrating while we are trying to build a new clients site.
brian!
in setup -> general settings -> support -> Allowed File Attachment Types - is the file extension used by the client in the list ? also, are the file permissions on the folder correct, .e.g., is it writable by the server... if you check via ftp, is the image file there?
garymchugh
There are no issues with file types the client added the attachment successfully. In ticket view I see the thumbnail however when I click the download link I am redirected to the client login page. Does that sound like a file type or permissions error? - - - Updated - - - And yes folder is writable and yes image is in the folder. The issue is I can not access it from the ticket view. I am medding around firing up the ftp program and checking file names then downloading. How long do support normally take to answer? Got to say on a monthly subscription that is a little lacking.
brian!
it looks like your post is being moderated, but to answer your question... There are no issues with file types the client added the attachment successfully. In ticket view I see the thumbnail however when I click the download link I am redirected to the client login page. Does that sound like a file type or permissions error? well if it's visible, then the file type is probably fine, so are permissions too... have you tried another browser to ensure that this isn't being caused by a plugin...
garymchugh
Holy crap Batman this was a simple one that you might never think of..... oh how we tend to go for the complicated first. System URL was set to https://sitename.com/whmcs/admin The bookmark I had in my browser to reach my admin area was https://www.sitename.com/whmcs/admin the www was messing with the sessions and breaking the download. I logged in without the www in the url and hey presto I can download the attachments. Just sharing in case any other confused sole ever find this post. Thank you to support for working this out. Sorry if I was short in earlier posts just frustrated while trying to build a site for a client.
