john_h
Cancelling paypal subscriptions from WHMCS does not work, results in the following entry in the activity log: 09/24/2015 15:45 Subscription Cancellation for ID S-XYZ Failed - Service ID: 161 From the 6.0 release notes: http://docs.whmcs.com/Version_6.0_Release_Notes Automated PayPal Subscription Cancellation is supported for subscription profiles that start with an "I". PayPal's Tech Support explains the difference as follows: A subscription profile starts with "S" if it is created before 2009, and it is not possible to cancel or manage their profiles via API call. Subscription profiles that are created after 2009 will start with "I" and these can be managed by using API call. However, all of my paypal subscriptions, even those that were created after 2009 still start with "S". Anyone have this issue? I'm currently using the regular "PayPal" payment gateway as opposed to express checkout etc.
bigsean
I'm experiencing the same issue. New subscriptions are still prefixed with "S-" I'm using the standard PayPal module and the PayPal Payments Pro (for CC processing). Anyone have any luck or info on how to get subscriptions to start with the "I-" prefix?
WHMCS Product Manager WHMCS John Posted November 4, 2015 WHMCS Product Manager Share Posted November 4, 2015 Hi, If you contact PayPal Merchant Technical Services they should be able to adjust your account so that it starts creating subscriptions with the "I-" prefix, which can be managed via the API.
