My CPanel link for the customer section always uses SSL even if it's turned off.

Ever since version 6 all the links to CPanel for our customers use SSL even though it's turned off in the server section of WHMCS.

Any ideas what coulod cause this or how to force WHMCS to use a non SSL link to CPanel?

I think it's intentionally done by WHMCS - though I read elsewhere it may get changed in the future.

 

if you're talking about the 'Login To cPanel' link in the sidebar, that can be changed via an action hook...

you may need to tweak the code depending on the URL you need to use, but if you run into an issue, let me know the URL you want to use.

I hope so, I'm getting people freaking out about the ssl not being safe and calling in saying CPanel does not work. Your upgrade has literally made things much harder for the customer and us.

 

Please please please change it to non ssl for logging into CPanel if it's clicked non ssl in the server section.

We have lost three customers and have spent hours doaling witht his error. Is there anyway we can raise the priority of this? It's a major issue now for over a month. It's has to just be one line that you would change to not use SSL (remove the s in https://).

Please please please fix this asap.

best way to raise the priority would be to either report it as a bug or open a ticket with support - WHMCS support tend not to visit the forums (apart from the Bug Reports) - so I doubt anyone from WHMCS is seeing your plea to get this fixed.
