LukeDouglas
I am encountering a problem trying to apply a payment that has '#' number in it as I get a warning message: Validation Error A unique transaction ID is required. This has happened since I upgraded to 6.0.2 version. How can I override this filter or entry validation 'permanently'????? brian!
Luke, How can I override this filter or entry validation 'permanently'????? if this is something that you could do in v5.3, but can't in v6 - then it might be a bug, or WHMCS might have intentionally changed it - what I would suggest is that you either contact support, or report it as a potential bug via the Bug Reports forum and they can then determine which it is. any validation will likely be taking place in an encrypted file - so, assuming that's the case, there's regrettably little the rest of us can do to fix this. even if it is a bug, they may not produce a hotfix for it, so a solution would have to wait until v6.0.3 is released, and at a guess, I wouldn't expect to see that before October. in the short-term, i'd follow sentq's advice and just enter the number - if this gets "fixed" in the future, you would have the option to manually editing the database to change these previous entries.
LukeDouglas
As I said, this was a 'design' flaw just the same as forcing a 'unique' email on the profile. I have my reasons for that too.
