Affiliates Question

Question

Is it possible to have 2 affiliates for one transaction? That is to say, suppose there was a campaign for an organization that they would receive say 50% of the revenue, but that I wanted to split the remaining 50% of the revenue with another person. I'm trying to figure out the best way to track this and if WHMCS could handle it...

Out of the box I don't think this is an option within WHMCS. You can manually assign an order to an affiliate account but this option disappears once an affiliate has been assigned (in other words, you can only assign 1 affiliate).

So to achieve this, you would need to add a module though I don't know of 1 that exists so you might be looking at custom development.

A work around is to assign credit to the client and add a note of that credit. However, if you have many affiliates that you need to split payments for this could become a mess. If it is just 1 - 2 then you should be ok adding credit each month (assuming commissions are recurring).

If you go the above route of manually adding it each month, you could use the to-do list feature or just set a reminder on your phone or something. The negative of this route, the second affiliate wouldn't see it in their affiliate account.
