Mike4286
Hello, I have noticed today that when a user tries to register a domain, I always see an error and I need to register the domain manually. The error is: * Registrar Error An error occurred: Failed to connect to api.namecheap.com port 443: Connection timed out * I have talked to namecheap support and they told me to upgrade WHMCS to latest version, in which I did, and I still receive this error. The error also appears when I click on a clients profile and select *Domains* tab. Any suggestions ?
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted April 20, 2015 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted April 20, 2015 Hi, This suggests your server is having difficulty connecting to Namecheap at api.namecheap.com on port 443. Please check with your server admin/hosting provider that nothing in the server firewall/security measures is blocking the connection.
