mdeinhardt
Hi all, we have some customers who don't want to receive specific or any mails to the main email adress (the one entered under "Profile"). I though I simply add another contact, enable those mails in question for the contact and then simply change the Billing Contact to that contact. But the contact is only used as cc: with the Profile's email adress still being used as main recipient. Am I doing it wrong? Or how can I prevent mails from being sent out to the Profile's email adress? Thanks Michael
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted February 4, 2015 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted February 4, 2015 Hi, I can confirm that the master account holder will always receive copies of all emails sent to their account and contacts. To prevent them from receiving all emails, you'd need to change the email address under the client's Profile tab to someone who does wish to receive all the emails.
mdeinhardt
Hi John, that's unfortunate, as that email is mainly used for provisioning and thus used as a login in hosting panels. So it is mostly some admin adress or is many cases that of the boss, but never of bookkeeping. Are there any plans to chnage this behaviour? Thanks Michael
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted February 5, 2015 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted February 5, 2015 Hi, I am not aware of any plans to change this behaviour at present, but we are always open to suggestions from our users and these are collated and rated at http://requests.whmcs.com
