Domain renewal notification

Hello,

I'm quite new to using WHMCS, I've had my first domain renewal notification sent out to a customer however I'm a little confused as to why it went out today. If someone could assist with clearing this up it would be much appreciated.

11th August 2014 - Renewal notification sent to customer

29th August 2014 - Next Due Date (I have it set to 10 days before expiry just in case)

8th September 2014 - Actual expiry date

I have domain reminder settings set to send notices 88, 60, 30, 15 and 7 before expiry.

As this notification went out today, it has been sent 28 days before the actual expiry date (or 18 days before the next due date).

Now that I'm looking at how I've got it set up, I'm realising that it may not be the best way. For example, when they get the 7 days before expiry notification, the due date would be in the past by 3 days :?:

Perhaps it would be best to just set the due date to the same date as the expiry date.

What are your thoughts?

Kind regards,

Chris

Hi,

The grouped domain renewal reminder is sent on the 11th of the month. All a client's domains expiring in the next 30 days or more have been grouped together into a single email and sent on that date. This way the client only gets one email for all their domains, instead of a bunch of emails with one domain on each.
