Clients and Email addresses and Client Groups

OK I will try and explain this the best I can.

I am the owner of the server

I host many of my own domains

All have the same Email in WHM and when imported they are the same in WHMCS

When I try to edit the profile for all my domains and assign myself to the group OWNERS ADMINS I get

Duplicate Email Address

The email address entered is already in use by another client account and must be unique for each client

If we are assigning a client to the group OWNERS ADMINISTRATORS then the email address being the same as another should not be a problem.

The client names may be different but if I am assigning a client to a certain group then the email address should be ignored.

WHMCS needs to take into account that admins and owners use the same EMAIL ADDRESS.

Can you please sort this and release an update

Hi,

Thanks for taking the time to provide your feedback. Email addresses for the ID by which clients login to therefore must be unique for each client.

However if you personally want to be able to administer several accounts, I suggest creating a catch-all address and then you can make up any email address on your domain you wish for each individual client account.

We could also achieve the same by creating an email forwarder for each client account.

We also welcome suggestions for new features at http://reuests.whmcs.com
