iHelpersLLC
I just got WHMCS setup and i realized that when creating a new account it's created under root ownership, and i wanted the accounts to be owned by a reseller account. I assume this is because my server-connection is using root/hash for the login info.. Is the only way to create accounts under a reseller account by using that login in the add-server settings? and if i change it from the current root/hash to the reseller account/password, will this cause any issues in WHMCS with the current accounts/information?

WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted April 16, 2014 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted April 16, 2014 Hi, I can confirm that in order to create account under a reseller user on the server, you would need to enter the resellers' details into the server configuration page in WHMCS. This is a sensible security precaution to take instead of using root.
