What advantages is there If I disable email piping and require contact online

Hi,

If you tick the "Pipe Replies Only" option in your support department configuration then the advantages would be that the user is always authenticated when submitting a ticket so you can be sure they are the genuine account owner.

 

Also they'll see the knowledgbase suggestions, so it may actually reduce the number of requests you receive.

 

Personally I'd still vote for keeping email piping configured so clients can still reply via email.
