HSc
Hello, I've seen other posts similar to this but no resolutions so I wonder if I've set this up incorrectly or just not understanding how the domainsync cron works. This is for Enom. When first run, I received an Active 50 Email with "In Sync" reported. Then I read about added security steps and moved things. I moved the crons folder outside the public accessible folder tree per added security steps. I placed it in same location as downloads and attachments directories. I edited the crons/config.php file to tell it where the main whmcs installation is. I've got the cron set up to run properly and WHMCS activity log shows it DOES start but does NOT report Cron Job Completed as it does with other cron jobs. I no longer receive any Email from this cron once I've moved it per instructions. So my question is have I made an error in how I moved and configured the domainsync or is this how it is supposed to behave? Have I missed anything? Thanks, HSc
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted January 17, 2014 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted January 17, 2014 Hi, If you run the domainsync.php script manually from your server command-line, what output do you get please?
HSc
Hi,If you run the domainsync.php script manually from your server command-line, what output do you get please? Same. Activity log in WHMCS shows Domain Sync Cron: Starting And cron logs just show the cron being executed but no results. The other daily cron shows the same in cron logs but activity logs show when the cron has completed. I just have done something when I moved the crons folder out of public_html because it worked there but for the life of me I can't see what I've done wrong or where.
HSc
Can anyone confirm if you receive a daily Email report from the domainsync even if there are no changes? And if your whmcs activity logs show the cron job starting but not on completion?
nathany
The domainsync cron does send an email even if there are no changes, from memory it lists the domains and 'in sync'.
HSc
Could the problem have anything to do with adjusting the php memory limit? We did that (due to errors on the order forms) right around the same time as we moved the crons folder and domainsync stopped working for us.
HSc
UPDATE: problem appears resolved. I had enabled the OpenSRS module as well as Enom. I just disbabled OpenSRS (which may not have been properly configured) and now domainsync runs normal. And I don't really use OpenSRS any longer, anyway so no biggie. Thanks to all (2?) who answered my questions and bothered to read ;-) HSc
