Marketing emails

Hi

 

I see users can now chose to not receive marketing emails but I cannot find where they should go to unsubscribe. Any help?

from the client area, log in as a client and there is a dropdown on the right that should say "Hello, *client*!" - click on the option at the top of the list, "Edit Account Details", and then at the bottom right of the next page, there should be a checkbox called "Newsletter Opt-Out" with "Tick to unsubscribe from our newsletters".

 

now if you can't see this, it may be because you have disabled (or never enabled!) the Client Area opt-out button from the Admin Area.

 

setup -> general settings -> other -> Marketing Opt-out

Would there be a direct "unsubscribe" html link for the recipient so he does not need to login to his account?

Use the {$unsubscribe_url} merge field when composing the e-mail to include the unsubscribe URL.
