WebJIVE
The 5.2.9 security patch breaks the mass mail tool. We use this a LOT and we wanted to send a mail out today but, can't now. Whenever you use by general, products, etc., the email recipient list is blank. Support tickets away guys!
JoshDargie
Thanks, I've noticed this as well as Add Order API doesn't recognize coupon codes any more.... Just like the previous bug fix Add Client API broke adding credit cards. They don't exactly plan this stuff out very well, be prepared for an "Wait till 5.3" response which is what I received on my concerns.
VPSPLANET
We have the same problem too. Instead of 500 emails only 9 emails was sent.
WebJIVE
We can't wait for 5.3 to get this back. This should be an easy fix for them. Lots of bad press lately on the continued hacks!

demaier
I am not sure if this could be related but I am assuming there is an error with parsing (http://) links on WHMCS support ticket system replies and they may be using similar engine or core files that are broken and are also breaking the stuff mentioned here. Please refer to: http://forum.whmcs.com/showthread.php?80271-403-error-while-replying-to-a-ticket-on-5-2-9-version
WebJIVE
Here's a workaround that I received from support. It appears to be that the mass mail tool is not working for clients assigned to the default language. This can be worked around by deselecting all languages in the client languages filter combo box (use Ctrl+Click to do that) so that no language filters are applied and that way it will include all clients.
SeanP
I think this is supposed to be fixed in the latest patch (5.2.10 / 5.1.12).

Sometimes it's easier to stay with "the devil you know." :-/
WHMCS Chris
Howdy, Ideally, people should not be running 5.2.9 for security purposes. However, to address the mass mailer issue. It is resolved in 5.2.10 as noted in our change log: http://docs.whmcs.com/Changelog:WHMCS_V5.2#General
