Can I install WHMCS on a separate server from my hosting server?

Hi,

I guess this might be a dumb question but, I bought a reseller hosting package from Hostgator a while ago where i host all my clients domains and websites. I have bought WHMCS and I wish to install in on a separate server. Will i still be able to integrate it with the CPanel on my other server?

Yes, you just need to set up the server section with your hostgator server info and you will be good to go.

Also probably the best thing you can do as if the main server goes down your customers can send tickets to you

I agree, it's actually a advantage to have you and your customer's accounts separate.

 

WHMCS allows you to add as many servers as you like.
