Google Checkout moving to Google Wallet

as many of you who use Google Checkout may know, the checkout service is being discontinued on Nov 1, 2013.

ATTENTION: On November 20, 2013, Google Checkout will no longer be supported. Sellers of digital goods on Google (Google Play, Chrome Web Store, Offers Marketplace and Google Wallet for digital goods) will automatically transition to Google Wallet and will not be impacted.

Is there going to be an updated payment module for 'Google Wallet for digital goods' so that we can either enable it or just seamlessly move to it when Google Checkout dies?

I hope someone here has some knowledge and / or solutions regarding this.

So... there is a bit of confusion as to who Google Wallet is for.

Nothing in the developer demo says anything about Wallet being for digital goods:

https://developers.google.com/commerce/wallet/instant-buy/demo

My understanding is that a new Google Wallet for Merchants account is needed.

The only ones who automatically transfer to the new system are those selling digital goods in current Google properties...

I could be wrong, but doing some digging right now.

So, google Wallet Instant Buy is certainly not a direct replacement of Google Checkout.

It appears that subscriptions are not supported, and that to use instant pay a person will need a registered Google Account (no guest payments).

Again, doing some digging and trying to decide how to move forward or away from Google Checkout.

Has there been any movement on this?

We have a Google Wallet Merchant account and it's active according to Google yet I just had a client attempt to use it via our whmcs and it generated a 404 error. Now this a) makes us look bad, b) is frustrating the customer, c) forced them to use a different payment method.

thanks
