Which registrar is free to plugin?

Recommended Posts

Thanks. I currently use Doster, which is a Register.com company. They provide a private non-branded interface that my customers can pay them directly, register domains which I can access through a reseller CP, and it sets up the nameservers for me and they send me affiliate commission checks, instead of me sending them money. But, sadly, there is no plugin for use with this product. I am guessing the domain tool in this program is too difficult to edit out and replace with a link from the main client area to what I use now... ughh... but so far the program looks pretty good.

Can i just ask your reasoning behind doing this? bear in mind if your clients are paying you to register a domain name then you have fees to pay yourself and not just the cost of the domains, this would be domain + gateway fees, so you would have to apply some sort of markup, unless you are applying the gateway fees directly to the invoice in some way.

Until a few years ago Tucows had a system that did not require any deposit at all. We still have an 'old' active account, still working that way for one of our sales sites. But I am not sure they nowadays sign up new resellers (with THAT system), but you can ask them. On the other hand, their pricing is not the greatest.
