"Client Requested Domain Release to Tag Yell" - how

neltek

Recommended Posts

I have had a support ticket raised asking why their domain has not moved to Yell yet...

I am with Resellerclub

I could not find what they were talking about, then in Utilities -> logs -> Activity Log

I found an entry saying:

"Client Requested Domain Release to Tag Yell"

A) I can't find this anywhere else as an action to complete? Shouldn't WHMCS have told me of the request, and have an action to complete?

B) Now I know about it - although I don't know for which domain!!!!

What do I do?

I have scanned the documentation and can't find anything relevant

I have searched the forum and can't find anything about transfer out and setting a TAG

Please Help

Ian

Hi Ian,

I would assume this is for a .uk domain, but I can't really help directly with Resellerclub as we don't use them (I use Nominet for them).

but from the documentation, this might help though - http://freeaccount.myorderbox.com/kb/servlet/KBServlet/faq1322.html

uk transfers are slightly different in that the current registrar (you) assigns them to the new registrar (yell) - from what I know so far, they can't be done via WHMCS so you will need to login and initiate the transfer from your resellerclub site account.

with regards to identifying the domain, do you have any domains marked as transfer pending? is there nothing in the logs?? I don't know if the "domain release" feature generates an email to the client, but check the email logs just in case... though it would be useful if this particular client only had one .uk domain in their account!

I think if all else fails, you may have to email the client to confirm which domain they wish to transfer.

I use Resellerclub and as far as i know is that all WHMCS does is facilitate the automated process of registration/transfer of domains and where clients who use this will still be sent login details to a resellerclub control panel to help them manager their domains.

If a client changes their TAG etc. they would need to do this through their Resellerclub control panel for that domain. WHMCS has no part in any of this process as its done direct through Resellerclub.

We as admins also get emails regarding transfers etc. from any clients account within our Resellerclub
