easyhosting
We have just received this from Resellerclub [h=2]ICANN’s Expired Registration Recovery Policy Update[/h] ICANN has introduced a list of mandatory requirements around handling expired domain names. Read on to know more about Expired Registration Recovery Policy (ERRP). To be compliant with this policy, we plan to go live with changes (mentioned below) in our system on 8th August, 2013. In the sections below, we have highlighted the Expired Registration Recovery Policy and the changes that will be made in our system to comply with it. Policy Highlights: As per this policy, ICANN has mandated that Registrant at Expiry (RAE), i.e. the registrant contact of a domain name immediately prior to its expiration, should receive renewal notifications. Registrars are required to send at least 2 mandatory expiration reminders to the RAE, approximately a month and a week before expiry of a domain name. Additionally, at least one more notice must be sent within 5 days of domain expiry. This communication has to be in the language of the registration agreement. The renewal fee, post expiration renewal fee (if different from renewal fee) & restoration fees have to be made available to the registrant at the time of domain registration. These fees also have to be updated on the website and a URL of the same has to be included in the registration agreement. All resellers in the chain also have to display these fees on their websites. The communication channel to be used for notifications has to be displayed on the website of the registrar as well as all his resellers and a link for the same has to be included in the registration agreement. What we’re doing to comply with this policy: We will introduce 2 new e-mails in the system for the pre as well as post expiry notifications mandated by ICANN. These mails shall be sent out only for gTLDs. Both these mails shall be compulsory and customizable. You can edit the entire content of the mail except the list of domain names. The supersite shall be incorporating the changes with regard to pricing as well as communication channel for notification. If you are not using Supersite, you will have to manually make the changes in order to be compliant with this policy. We shall also be modifying our registration agreement to include the new items mandated by ICANN. Please circulate these mandates to your sub resellers and customers so that they are prepared well in time for the effective date.

othellotech
If it doesn't already allow it, then WHMCS needs to "fix" the Automation settings for Domain Reminder Settings to allow -ve numbers and selection of specific email templates That way you can put -1 and select 'expired domain' There has long been a need for additional fields to be setup and managed in the domain pricing side of things so that period dates, redemption fees, grace periods etc can be defined per tld
Monkey Tree Hosting
Resellerclub seem to be sending these emails compulsory without any notification, to our clients. Is is me or is this something that we can't stop? I've set my WHMCS to be doing all the emailing, and it's confusing some of my clients getting such bland emails from RSC.. anyone know how to disable?
stormy
They can't be disabled. They are mandatory. You might be able to customize them in your Resellerclub interface, check with them.
