knipper
Hi All, I just checked my cron based database backup and have an empty file. Researching the forum I found this thread: http://forum.whmcs.com/showthread.php?51266-V5-1-Patches&p=235450#post235450 which includes a patch... but this was from last July just after 5.1 was released. Should this patch still be applied since I am running the latest version of WHMCS?
slsdoug
I have the same problem with 5.1.3. I tried the patch you listed and it worked. YMMV. I'd like an answer from WHMCS if there are any ramifications.
knipper
I had not updated yet, but will today. I too would like to hear from WHCMS developers, just in case!
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted January 23, 2013 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted January 23, 2013 Hi, Yes this patch can be used with all versions in the v5.1.x release.
MajeStik
I used that patch but no result, still not generating database backup. Version 5.2.4 here
lance
we were running backups fine, when we moved from 5.1.7 to 5.1.8 to 5.1.9 our backups went to 0bytes... we then upgraded to 5.2.7 and the backups stopped, was getting error 500 before the backup completed, a ticket was opened for this but no resolution found.... apart from we have a 200mb database and whmcs documentation says the cron runs for 20mb databases... Out of the blue this morning we received a full backup mail from the cron.... we have not changed anything... Will see if we get one tomorrow too and let you know.... might be a cpanel issue as to why its happening?
