tamalita
hello I have been using WHMCS and Enom successfully for a few years, all behind a secure certificate. i did not begin having problems until this summer, with the major security upgrade. I have a dedicated IP address for my domain, since i am using a secure certificate. Over the years, I have had to update my IP address at Enom so that i can access Enom through WHMCS. I did have to do that this summer, because I was getting an error when trying to register new domains. the error did not begin until i had upgraded to WHMCS 5.1. i am still receiving an error, but this time it's another IP address and I'm not really sure where the instruction is to go through that IP. My dedicated IP address is: 65.75.187.164 that is the ip address that is authorized at Enom, as well as on my WHMCS account All of my hosting clients are on this IP address: 149.47.187.167 The error I get when i try to register a domain is: An Error Occurred Invalid client IP: 149.47.187.167 It appears to me that my WHMCS installation is trying to go through this other IP address to access my enom account. I am unable to find this setting in WHMCS. My questions are: Is there a place in my WHMCS installation where i need to add my 65.75.187.164 address? Do i just need to add the 149.47.187.167 address to my enom and whmcs accounts? Is this an issue with my WHMCS configuration, or my enom configuration or my SSL? I don't understand why anything is going through the 149 IP address --- it seems like it should be going strictly through the 65 IP address --- thank you.
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted November 21, 2012 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted November 21, 2012 Hi, WHMCS doesn't specify the IP address anywhere, 149.47.187.167 is the IP address your server is using to send requests to eNom, so that's the IP you must whitelist with them for access to their API: http://docs.whmcs.com/Enom#IP_Registration_.28Registrar_Error_Invalid_Client_IP.29
