Strother
Have just stumbled on a currency conversion error with 2Checkout, and want to see if anyone else has seen this or knows of a resolution. When a client is paying an invoice where the currency is in GBP (£), the 2co screen is showing a lower amount than the invoice amount. In fact, it looks like they are taking the £ figure, interpreting it as $, so converting it to £ again. (hope that's not too muddled). So, a £5.99 invoice is being converted to £3.43 charge on the 2co screen. This is not happening if the client chooses paypal as the payment method, only when they choose 2CO. 2 screenshots attached, one showing the whmcs invoice, and one showing the 2co payment screen. Could prove costly if I don't resolve this one soon!
Strother
Just an FYO to anyone else who might see this thread, 2checkout is not a good option of you sell in multiple countries / currencies. Apparently, they only understand your default currency. I'm in the process of deactivating them myself as I have customers adding on in us and uk who are getting some pretty screwy amounts on their checkout screens.
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted October 18, 2012 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted October 18, 2012 Hi, For best results try setting the "Convert to for Processing" setting in WHMCS under Setup > Payments > Payment Gateways to the same as your 2CheckOut account's currency
