labelhosting.com
Hi, When i try to check for domains in whmcs i get the below error. "There was an error in your request" I found whmcs Documentation saying, Need to UnBlock port "43" if using any firewall. I have done it as suggested and restarted the firewall (using CSF), But failed to resolve the issue. The same errors in another 3 more (WHMCS) sites hosted on this server, Server specs (cloud linux, CSF, cpanel) Please suggest me if any thing that i have missed out to make domain check work. Thank you in advance.
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted October 5, 2012 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted October 5, 2012 Hi, The next thing to try is connecting to the whois servers listed in the /includes/whoisservers.php file from your server on port 43. Any errors that occur is something your server admin/hosting provider would need to resolve.
othellotech
Turn off csf and see if it's still a problem - if that solves it, you've not opened the correct port/type
