What you're getting here simply indicates there's a template compiling problem so please try deleting all existing files from the templates_c folder which you can do quickly and easily using the "Empty Template Cache" option in Utilities > System Cleanup. Then also please ensure the templates_c folder is still CHMOD 777 writeable and then give the emails another a try.
