ffeingol
When you setup (or modify) a server there is a check box for "Enable/Disable" (at least for cPanel servers). What exactly does this do? It does not seem to suppress the server name from the list of servers when you go to accept an order and it does not remove the server from the server revenue report. Thanks
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted June 27, 2012 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted June 27, 2012 Hi, Out documentation should explain this for you: http://docs.whmcs.com/Servers#Status
ffeingol
Hello John, Now can you make WHMCS do what the documentation says it does "Disabling a server removes it from the daily usage statistics update (which could fail if a disconnected server was listed as active) and moves it to the bottom of all server dropdown menus." On the WHMCS demo I setup 3 servers (plus the one that was there): - abc (disabled) - default (enabled) - test1 (disabled) - test2 (disabled) If you then go to the orders on the demo system there is an order for a cPanel server. When you look at the drop down for the servers they are simply listed alphabetically and the disabled ones are not at the bottom of the list.
easyhosting
what this do is say you have 3 servers and for some reason you have to take 1 down on a temp basis, if you disable 1 of the servers it will not display this server in the serverstatus page
ffeingol
I'm not particularly interested in the server status page (we have our own status page). I'm much more interested in the server drop down lists within WHMCS. Over the past 2+ years we've acquired a lot of other web hosts. We bring their customers into our WHCMS (on their existing servers). When then migrate them from the old server to a server in our data center. When we are done there are no active accounts on the server, but there may be canceled ones, so we we can't delete the server. This has left us with dozens of 'dead' servers in WHMCS that just clog up the server drop-down.
