fmisle
How can I prevent WHMCS 4.4.2 from storing credit card info... I use 2CO as a payment processor and don't need the CC info stored... PLUS, I am NOT PCI Compliant, so I cannot store CC Info.
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted June 11, 2012 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted June 11, 2012 Hi, Using a third party payment gateway such as 2CO payment details will never be requested or stored by WHMCS. There's more information in our documentation: http://docs.whmcs.com/Payment_Gateways
CCSupport
I know this is an old thread....but...even though using a Gateway would mean WHMCS doesn't actively ask for the CC info....the way it looks to me is that if the CC info is not disabled within Setup>Security then a client could login to their account and manually add their CC info...thinking that would be for paying their account.....That's how I see it anyway....which would mean that if the service of taking the CC info was offered (if not used) it would still mean issues with PCI Compliance.
soccer
Beanstream has a product where they will store the cc information on their server it is a new product. Is there a developer out there that can help us with this one? Here is a quick overview of what the product can do. 1. Overview The Secure Payment Profiles service allows merchants to create secure payment accounts or “profiles” for storing confidential contact and/or credit card details on Online Mart’s server. Transactions can then be processed against these profiles without the need to recollect payment information from the customer and without the need to store payment information on the merchant’s system. By integrating the Secure Payment Profiles system via API, merchants can ensure that their customers are not transferred offsite during the purchase process. Back office tools provide security features and full customer account histories. The merchant administration area can also be used to manually process transactions against customer accounts and modify customer data.
