[PAYPAL GATEWAY] Invalid Receiver Email

Payments are being received in PayPal just fine and the IPN response is good. I called PayPal and they told me that it's not an issue on their end but with the WHMCS callback system trying to validate the email address.

My billing email address is billing@MYDOMAIN and my receiver address is a different one.

Please start your troubleshooting by referring to our documentation: http://docs.whmcs.com/Troubleshooting_Guide#Payments_Not_Recorded

Already done that, the gateway log is reporting "Invalid Receiver Email", I have called PayPal and they said that it's an error on their end but rather some checking as part of the callback script in WHMCS.

My question is does the WHMCS callback script compare the "receiver email" to the "PayPal Email" in WHMCS?

Hello,

Thank you for your response.

WHMCS validates the payment receiver email value against the details specified under Setup > Payments > Payment Gateways so this error means the two do not match. If multiple PayPal accounts are used to receive payment, or a single PayPal account has multiple email addresses associated with it ,they must all be listed in a comma separated list eg. email1@mycompany.com,email2@mycompany.com.

I hope this helps.
