netwood
I'm having a bit of a struggle with upgrading an account to higher bandwidth. 1. I created a new plan in cPanel 2. Created the new plan in WHMCS with the same name. 3. I upgraded the customer in cPanel first directly to the new plan because it was kind of an emergency. 4. I upgraded the customers account in WHMCS on the Product/Services page. 5. Checking in Utilities -> cPanel/WHM import, the customer is listed with the new plan and the color is yellow indicatign that a matching plan is found in WHMCS. However, when I look at the hosting plan in Products/Services page, it still says the old bandwidth and the site gets suspended all the time. What I'm I missing? //jonas
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted August 24, 2011 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted August 24, 2011 When you say you upgraded the account in WHMCS, what did you do exactly? If an account is being suspended this suggests the Next Due Date is set to a date in the past.
netwood
It was being suspended because of the bandwidth limit. In WHM, I had to twice use the "Unsuspend Bandwidth Exceeders" even though I had upgraded the account. Strange. Looks like cron updated the account correctly this morning because the bandwidth/quota in Products/Services now had the correctly values. When I do an upgrade like this, should I only do it in WHMCS in "Product/Services -> Product/Service" or should the plan be changed in WHM as well? The upgrade/downgrade documentation only talks about when the EU does it himself in the client area. I was doing the upgrade as the admin in WHMCS.
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted August 25, 2011 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted August 25, 2011 As an admin you can either click the "Create Upgrade/Downgrade Order" link on the client's proeducts/services tab to generate an invoice, then once paid by the client the account will be upgraded. Or to bypass that and just change the package without charging the client change the product/service dropdown and then click the "Change Package" Module Command button.
