[URGENT] Merge Script Error 500

Recommended Posts

Hi Guys,

I'm in need of faily urgent help.

I've got two WHMCS Installations, Wanting to use the WHMCS Merge Script. I downloaded it without a problem, followed instructions to upload it but It throws a 500 Internal Server Error when I run it.

I've checked the error log and there's no entry in there. I've tried recompiling IonCube and still no help, I've even tried to run it on both of the WHMCS Installations (different servers) but still not good.....Where have I gone wrong? I've checked file permissions, everything I can possibly think of, I guess it could be my .htaccess file but what In there would cause the Merge script to error?

Any help would be muchly appreciated.

Ben

Unfortunately a 500 Internal Server Error error is just a generic message from your server, it could be that ioncube is incorrectly installed or there are some settings in a .htaccess file causing an error. In order to find the exact cause of the error please refer to your error logs. With this specific information we can then help troubleshoot the issue.

Hi John,

about an hour ago I found the problem.

I uploaded the file as the root user on my server and even though the permissions were correct there must have been some problem with file ownership or something, I deleted the file and re-uploaded it and now it works, I completed the merge and it's all functioning correctly.

Thanks for your response.

Hopefully this thread will assist others in the future.

Kind Regards,

Ben
