jeremyhaber
Hey Guys; The big hosts have been doing this for years, and now you can too! OAuth Pro gives you the ability to release an API to your clients. This also gives you a completely new way to access the WHMCS API. Rather then using an admin account sending out your username and password hash, which sometimes is not practical, you can perform your API requests using OAuth instead. Another advantage to using this method is that you have complete control over what keys can execute what functions. That's right you can now allow or deny specific API functions from running with the OAuth keys! ORDER NOW! Just $59.99 Or you can use OAuth Standard absolutely free! OAuth Standard will not allow you to give your clients API access.
othellotech
Can you elaborate on the differences between the 2 versions and exactly what it does ? Is it encrypted or do users get the source to inspect for security issues and backdoors ?
jeremyhaber
Can you elaborate on the differences between the 2 versions and exactly what it does ?Is it encrypted or do users get the source to inspect for security issues and backdoors ? Absolutely, I can definitely elaborate on this for you. The only difference between the two versions is that OAuth Pro will allow you to distribute your API to your clients. This means that your clients can generate their own API keys and access the API functions that you want them to be able to access. OAuth Standard will not do this. It disables this specific functionality. Though it will still allow you to generate keys that you are able to disable API functions with, it really is not specific enough to work with distributing it to your clients. And yes it is encrypted to prevent any sort of security issues or backdoors (though we haven't found any in our tests) as well as give us the ability to license the script. That being said all API requests should also be done using SSL in order to assure maximum security. jeremyhaber
Hello, Are you willing to supply the Pro version with no encoding? (Maybe for different price ? ) Cheers There are a few legalities regarding supplying an unencoded copy. We are willing to supply it at an increased price. If you are interested please contact us through our support panel where we can discuss this further with you.

Juanzo
Would you mind confirming if this module might help integrate WHMcs with Zendesk or WordPress?
jeremyhaber
Hello Juanzo; Great to hear from you again. It really depends how you use it. OAuth will help you integrate into those systems if you want to connect for example WordPress to WHMCS instead of the opposite way around. As for Zendesk it would probably be best to develop a support module for Zendesk and connect WHMCS to Zendesk. FYI we will have a wordpress module released soon, keep watch for it over the next few weeks Best Regards, Jeremy Haber
Juanzo
Terrific news Jeremy! Having WHMcs integrated with WordPress will allow us, and any other hosting provider out there, provide a far better website interface and experience to our clients, so looking forward to it. Just my opinion: The current only WHMcs / WordPress solution is not working properly at all and I would prefer the addon to have a good price, than to offer it for little money and do not maintain it later.
alinford
Any idea when the Wordpress Addon will be finished?
jeremyhaber
We are working hard to complete it. The core functionality of it is done, we are just working hard to make it look amazing right out of the box. It will be at least another week before we can officially release it. Like all our addons we will be offering our top quality support and continuous development! Our Wordpress/WHMCS solution is definitely going to be the best one out there
rider
Just bought oauth module to Jeremy Haber, It's work perfect for my need (to give an API access to my reseller) and Jeremy's support is fast and very professional. Highly recommended!
Juanzo
It's great to see someone is working on this! And I'll also prefer this to take, whatever time it needs to make it work great, due to the importance of our client information.
VicToMeyeZR
Is it possible you could add screen shots to your addons? I looked around your site, and couldn't find any of the stuff your offering. Hard to decide to purchase or not...

I looked around your site, and couldn't find any of the stuff your offering. Hard to decide to purchase or not... Sure, we can add screen shots to the product pages. It will take us a day or two to put them up for all the products. Is there any specific questions you have about an addon in the meantime?
Juanzo
Ideally, the mod would allow logged in clients to be logged in WordPress too, allowing them to comment on posts in WordPress. How does the module work? I've read the announcement via email but it was unclear to me.

I will clear it up for you in the new thread.
