HeavyGU
Tried installing WHMCS several weeks ago myself. Couldn't get the install to work. Paid HostGator (where I have my hosting) to install for me. The install seemed to work. Then when I got in to config everything, it seemed ok. Then I created some client accounts and tried adding a product for purchase. The site hung and timed out. Then I went back to HostGator and they reinstalled WHMCS. Same thing was happening. They told me to contact WHMCS to have them configure our installation. So I explain the issue to WHMCS and ask them to fix. So after two days of emails, they say I need to pay them to configure and fix. They charged my credit card and now? Same issue. After two weeks of trying to make WHMCS work... still not operational. Still times out and hangs after adding a product for a client. <<snipped>> Signed... extremely frustrated!

jeremyhaber
Yup it sounds like it maybe a server issue. Maybe based on the amount of resources you are allowed to use.
sparky
It sounds like jeremy is on the right track there about resources you are allowed. One thing that you could try would be to add this line to the top of your .htaccess file RLimitMem max Please try that and let us know if that made it any better.
HeavyGU
Actually HostGator is solid. I am a reseller with many hosting accounts with them. But all in all, I'm a marketing guy with a bit of tech background. Enough to get really frustrated sometimes. I'll try the .htaccess file thanks!
HeavyGU
Nope... didn't work. I click on a client, and then click on "Add Order". Then go in and config the order. Then when I click SUBMIT... it just cycles and cycles and cycles and finally times out.

HeavyGU
The rest of the site seems to work perfect. Only seems to happen when I create a new order and then submit. Man... it just locks up my hosting altogether. I go back like 15 minutes later and its still cycling. what the heck?
JofleyUK
I would submit a ticket to matt with the phpinfo(); results. You may be looking at MaxExecutionTime or some other php limitation. If you want. Dont post your phpinfo in this post for the world to see.
zomex
Hello, I've configured many HostGator reseller account with WHMCS and haven't experienced this problem before. Perhaps it's an issue with the server you're on? Anyway feel free to send me a PM and I'll take a look for you. Jack

jeremyhaber
What type of products are in the order you are creating? I myself have noticed some lag depending on the type of product I am creating.
HeavyGU
What type of products are in the order you are creating? I myself have noticed some lag depending on the type of product I am creating. I only have two products in there right now. One test that I created. And another basic hosting package that WHMCS support created. They are both hosting with the ability to add a domain reg. now I can't even login. Site just cycles, and cycles, and cycles. Literally takes like 15-20 minutes before it stops cycling before I can get in. I try stopping the page load, everything. Tried on 2 macs, and even 1 pc... same thing.

HeavyGU
We created new domain and host and have reinstalled WHMCS. Now we're waiting on support to give us a new license. See if this works.
HeavyGU
After reinstalling on a new domain / host, and then just grabbed a trial license key to get configged and believe it or not..........
