slinky
Having a problem, wondering if others have encountered this. Waiting for an email from support: I moved my WHMCS installation from one directory to another. That works fine. Ever since then, the Live Messenger desktop refuses to login and only works online. The message I get: Incorrect Server / Host The server is correct. Nothing has changed. I just can't get the desktop to work. The login on the web works perfectly just going to the LiveHelp installation and logging in.
slinky
Complete deletion from the database and reinstallation, not working. Joy. It works OK but it's very finnicky. To be honest, Kayako's works much better. I've always viewed this package as a stop-gap. I also am hoping to find a way to route users to the help desk if support is offline. After all, isn't that the point of having a help desk to take tickets when support is offline? Unfortunately the graphic doesn't do anything if there is no popup for live support. Hopefully you guys will either have the developer make a few minor modifications or get another partner to make it competitive.
slinky
Now nothing works, even logged in. I was mistaken. I wonder whether they have some copy protection on the software which doesn't allow you to move directories on the same domain. Unfortunately, this could not be a worse time to be without live support... If any of you guys have any experience, would be greatly appreciated. Stardevelop has no forum and their comments are over a year old on the blog.
DougK94
From their support center, http://livehelp.stardevelop.com/documentation/server.htm Please Note: The Live Help directory must be located at /livehelp, this is required by the Live Help Messenger Windows application. eg. http://www.mydomain.com/livehelp/
slinky
Thanks for your reply - it's actually not even that. It's http://www.mydomain.com/whmcsinstall/modules/livehelp/ I also told whmcs to make the font in the manual larger and to change the picture in the example. It says to enter the "domain" instead of "enter path" or something more appropriate.
