tkalfaoglu
The documentation for adding a domain-only entry says: 4. Leave the Billing Cycle dropdown menu set at Monthly why is that? Aren't domains renewed yearly? So what's the advantage of leaving at Monthly? Same question for hosting: Should I leave the yearly-renewing hosting customers set to "monthly", or can I set them to "Yearly" ? Thanks! -turgut
scurrell
Is this when adding an order via admin? Doesn't matter what you put for the billing cycle on a domain-only order - the period is determined by what you put under the Domain Registration section. Billing cycle does matter for the hosting though.
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted November 30, 2010 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted November 30, 2010 The billing cycle option applies only to the product you're ordering, but if you're placing a domain-only order there is no product. So you leave the product billing cycle at the default option.
uberhost
why is that? Aren't domains renewed yearly? So what's the advantage of leaving at Monthly? Since the domain tab is a separate entity it is wise to leave monthly billing as-is for the Products/Services so as to avoid an unfortunate billing error. Same question for hosting: Should I leave the yearly-renewing hosting customers set to "monthly", or can I set them to "Yearly" ? If you want them to pay you each month then set it to monthly.
