Domain Registration Error - Domain Secret should be 10 to10 characters long

Hi all, after a domain transfer, I get this

 

 

The order placed for xxxxxxxx.co.uk has received its first payment and has been automatically submitted to the registrar

Client ID: xxx

Domain:xxxxxxxxxxxx.co.uk

Error: Domain Registration Error - Domain Secret should be 10 to10 characters long

 

 

What does this mean and if its something my customer or I have done, how do I prevent it in future?

Secret code probably mean the "EPP CODE" needed to transfer the domain.

But is the EPP/Secret Code required for a .co.uk domain?

 

Because 123-Reg say not, its done through confirmation e-mails to the domain owners address isn't it?

 

Last time I transfered a .co.uk into Reseller Club, I'm sure I didn't have a secret key but at the time I did everything manually as well so obviously didn't come across this error.

There's no EPP code for .uk transfers. ResellerClub have their own weird security key system which you'll need to handle manually.

Thank you John, so is this a bug, or is there a fix for this error?

No it's not a bug, as it's not part of the .uk transfer specification or something any other registrars use there's no provision for it in WHMCS.
