Deleted whmcs

Hi

 

My whmcs folder is gone and can't access whmcs, however have a good backup of db (mysql)

 

If I reinstall the product and then copy over my backup of mysql to new instance of mysql (after whmcs is reinstall) does all my seteup (like products, domain pricing, clients info ) return ?

I hope yes ...

it will if you have a curent backup of the sql database.

and also the encryption string from your configuration.php (you should have a site backup to get it from there... hopefully)

well, I load backup of mysql from whmcs 4.2.1 to mysql of whmcs 4.31 and got:

Is the mysql changed too ?

check and make sure server and database names are correct along with password... what i find best is install a new copy with new database and go to the mysql import module via cpanel (if thats what u have) and just import your old databass in to your new one it just overrights the data and works every time.

Make sure the php files you're uploading correspond with the version of the database. Ie. Uploading 4.3.1 files with a database from version 4.2 can cause this error.

Yes John is right, soonest I reload mysql all seems to work just fine.
