Hi,

I see the error below in the activity log, it appears daily and has done for the last 6 days. Doesn't appear around any cron jobs in particular and at a different time each day. The error appears in batches of 8 to 12 times in a row in a given minute, at 4 different consecutive times separate by between 1 and 4 minutes apart, looks to get wait a little longer after each run.

"Smarty Error: unable to read resource: "......../templates/portal/.tpl"

Looks like the same as "adtastichosting" error above, again not viewing a page at the time.

No changes have been made to any of portal template files since it started turning up (about 6 days ago) and No upgrades to the system made (still running 4.3.1).

Using portal and webcart20. Have customized a number of tpl files for client area/admin area and cart, but none returned this error during customization. What's worse is it doesn't specify a specific template file at fault. My only guess was that one tpl is calling either another template where the smarty error is, and so foncusing the error. Anyone else have any thoughts?

This doesn't seem to affect any pages - client, admin or cart pages, so I will continue to monitor.

I'm getting same error from different IPs (208.100.188.90 and 49.0.4.107). Banned both but... wanna know what is that?

We've been attacked from Turkey few days ago. Hackers was creating clients, making/accepting orders, trying to register domain. All from backend. Be careful, guys. I've banned their their IPs also (95.9.102.150 and 188.58.184.1)

Any clue:

Smarty Error: unable to read resource: "/home/xxxx/xxxxx_xxxx/templates/portal/.tpl"

i've seen someone with this issue before - it was caused by 'guests' viewing a page in a gift certificate mod - do you have that by any chance?

if you have any 'custom' pages or modified pages in your whmcs try monitoring the admin while you access those pages and see which page you are on that causes the error
