mahdoum
Hello, Just updated to 4.3.1 and liked the new ajax order form (except for not having register/transfer domain option). How can I make it the default cart option so that when users click order in whmcs it will take them to this ajax form? Thanks
Nisd
Would like to know this too.
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted October 11, 2010 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted October 11, 2010 You'd just edit your template files to link to /order/ instead of /cart.php
Nisd
That just seems like a "hack" when you got a option in the control panel that says "Default Order Form Template"
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted October 11, 2010 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted October 11, 2010 Customising the template files is most certainly not a hack.
ShannonRawls
I gotta say, that AJAX order form is pretty cool. I was excited when I "discovered" it looking at the links of a hosting package I was setting up. I do wish however there was an option in the whmcs configuration section to just select AJAX or REGULAR rather than me hard coding my template. Also, since it doesn't offer "domain options" or give a list of alternate available domain names, I can't use it. Maybe in the future. it certainly is cool. uberhost
Customising the template files is most certainly not a hack. You're right, it's not a hack because templates are a feature of WHMCS that allow us to customize to our heart's content. Playing the devil's advocate, however, I do see the point that Nisd is making. While template customization is a feature of WHMCS, it shouldn't be obligatory. You and I enjoy playing with the Smarty tags, but not everyone does. I think the AJAX order system should be be toggled on and off from within the WHMCS admin panel as stated above. If that isn't possible then it seems as if the AJAX order system is something that should be distributed as a mod.
