discount higher than total

Hi,

I have a problem with promotions, here's the scenario:

- Someone orders a product of $10

- They use a promotional code wich has an fixed amount of $20.

- In the orderform a discount of $10 is shown and a total amount of $0

This is al the way it should be.

But now the customer goes to the invoice and it suddenly says:

- productname = $ 10

- promocode = $ -20

- Subtotal = $ -10

- Tax = $ -1.19

- Total = $ -11.19

It should just say the product, promocode -10 and tax and total both 0.

Is there a way to solve this, an option i forgot? Or is this a problem of WHMCS

Thanks in advance, Jeffry

Yes, that would be an option ofcourse.

But I have a configurable option quantity, so if they choose 2 or more of this product, the price is higher than the discount.

I want the people to have a promotional code with the max of e.g. $100. If they choose to only buy for $25, the discount should be $25 and the total $0.

But from what i understand there is no such option?

Ok clear.

I find that a strange way of dealing with discounts, but maybe I am missing the tought behind it?

Why does WHMCS do this exactly?

And wouldn't it be a nice option to let the user choose in the admin panel whether or not they want to let the discount make the total a negative number.

That's just a suggestion, I now know how it works and can live without it.

Thanks for your answer!
