CartHoster
When customers signup for a subdomain, is that automatically created as a new cPanel for them and act just like a normal domain registration? Or is there more in this than what I am seeing?
GGWH-James
When provisioning a new hosting account, the account gets created the same as if the client had supplied their own hostname.tld during the ordering process. The subdomain that they choose will be the primary domain of their cPanel account.
griffe
When provisioning a new hosting account, the account gets created the same as if the client had supplied their own hostname.tld during the ordering process. The subdomain that they choose will be the primary domain of their cPanel account. I have configured a product with the 'subdomain' option. When placing an order for that product I see NO subdomain questions. So I enter a value into th domain field without the extension, for instance 'site1'. When trying to run the 'module create' I get an error saying the domain is invalid. What am i missing?
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted December 2, 2010 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted December 2, 2010 All you need to do is configure the domain under Setup > Products/Services > Edit > Other tab and ensure you have "Require Domain" ticked under the General tab.

WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted December 3, 2010 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted December 3, 2010 The best thing to do is open a support ticket with your admin login details so we can take a look over your settings.

othellotech
I have configured a product with the 'subdomain' option. When placing an order for that product I see NO subdomain questions. You've either not set the product up correctly, or you've mangled your edits of the .tpl's - go back to a "stock" install, and compare.
