Roger
Prices do look good. They are located in the Bahamas it looks like. Internet.bs redirects to internetbs.net which is also in the Bahamas. Here's some info on them: http://www.webhosting.info/registrars/reports/total_domains/INTERNET.BS Year old but good info - http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?t=886773 I may purchase a few domains just to test and see. WHMCS has a module for them ...
maara
yes roger ... its look really good and their freebies which comes with account are good too like free account privacy - prices are very nice and prepaid credit (if whmcs used) is only 60 dolars. The problem is that its all seems too good to believe its really okay.If its true that this company blow away enom and resellerclub. Im a bit suspicious for its bahama location. but maybe im just too supsicious... They even have online support on site and guys was really friendly and helpfut... prolly will try register couple of domaiuns too to test..
Roger
Yes, the Bahamas location is a bit scary. I transferred a tel domain to them to see how things go. The emails concerning the initial transfer request were normal and came immediately. I'll probably reg a .com domain to see how the online forms for maintaining it are. Name servers and such. The forms I have seen so far are all business. No up sell ads etc. Just enter your stuff and be done. I do like that. They do have a US based phone number. So I was hoping for a BBB listing. But there are none. I posted links to what I did find via Google. It's all good but a bit old as well except for the stats. We're see. lets agree to keep one another up to date here. What do you think? -Roger
maara
yeah - I will do register some domains wih them too and will update this thread with behaviour of this company -as it goes. Will definitely agree with you that it will be great to share our experience here.... to all: all of you who got some experience with this company or will test company with some domains like me and roger are welcome to post your thoughts here.. If this company proves to be reliable and no catch found its relly great alternative to enom and resellerclub....... I testing their whmcs integration now - so far seems to work good Edited September 28, 2010 by maara
Roger
I just requested my API key so I can use the WHMCS integration.
Roger
Got my api key for use in WHMCS and made a minimum deposit to my account. One thing I do like is they don't charge any fees to fund your account like eNom. However I don't like that their is no way for the client to make changes to his domain like contact info etc as you can with eNom. Plus no sub-account resellers. I've transferred two domains (waiting for completion) so far. Next will be to try the automated domain registration via WHMCS and see how that works out. Also tried their online chat today. "Hugo" was fast getting to me. Knowledgeable and a pleasant fellow to chat with. A+ for that. -Roger -Roger
maara
Yeah I end up also with "hugo" he was able to also answer all my questions in a very professional way so A+ for me for support too, I also had some questions he was unable to answer so he created ticket to sales department for me - I received detailed sales reply by email in 20 minutes after he created ticket for me so support tickets are also fast. Its great thing that no setup fees are involved and even credit for using automation using WHMCS is very reasonably priced as 60 usd seems to very fair. Sales dept. also assured me that if I will cancel reseller account and some credit left on my account they can return rest of money left on credit back by paypal ( minus paypal fee) I dont mind a sub-accountv resellers cant be setup as Im not looking for this feature anyway it will be good to have that for future. The biggest and core drawback I see is unability to change contact info by clients using whmcs as it will be great if that will be automated so no manual work by reseller involved :-( I will do request this on their support maybe u can make request too so there will be better chance they will add it Edited September 30, 2010 by maara
Roger
Clients not being able to change contact info etc is not a show stopper. But could get to be an annoyance. I will make a request of them also. I did notice that they offer a WHMCS module. I wonder if that is the same module as is available from WHMCS or something IntenetBS came up with. If they came up with it I wonder if there is any difference between the two. But most likely it is the same module.
Roger
Ordered my first domain thru WHMCS with InternetBS. Had problems. Got on their chat. Gave them the symptoms. He passed to 2nd level support. They emailed me with a few minutes. Asked if I had taken their server out of test mode in WHMCS. Which I hadn't .. lol... Did that, clicked register inside WHMCS admin. Everything was fine. Used their on site tools to redirect the new domain name to the IP I wanted it to go to. A+ for their quick response to my oversight. WHMCS module works fine. DNS management is fine. -Roger Edited October 1, 2010 by Roger
sochart
I have a few domains (new ones, transferred ones) with them. Very good service, good response time. Their whmcs module is working perfectly as supposed. Chat function is working too. I like the fact that you do not have to load your account with 1000$ to get a better price. Prices are the best I've ever seen for .com
othellotech
Clients not being able to change contact info etc is not a show stopper It's going to be an issue when the mandatory ICANN emails to clients about reviewing/updating their contact details get sent out ...
Roger
Still not a show stopper. Just a little more work for me possibly.
maara
Roger I have been discussing updating whois contact details with internet.bs techs - they said their module already support changing contact details throught whmcs automation - possibly you have an old version of module ?
Roger
Hmm.. It does. Guess I was too focused on the other method and didn't scroll all the way to the bottom of the page in WHMCS. So solves that problem. Thus far I am very pleased with these folks. Registering new domains is smooth as is transferring.
WebWorker
I've been using Internet.bs through WHMCS for about a year now and they are a very reliable service with great support so far. One thing I noticed which wasn't clear up front is that the renewal prices are the prices that are striked out on their homepage. This is what they mean when they say "Domain name renewal: same as regular price" So your initial .com registration is 7.49, but your renewal is 8.35.
thernes
FYI; The latest module can be downloaded here: http://www.internetbs.net/ResellerRegistrarDomainNameAPI/download.php?module=whmcs

WebWorker
FYI; The latest module can be downloaded here: http://www.internetbs.net/ResellerRegistrarDomainNameAPI/download.php?module=whmcs Seems that WHMCS 4.3.1 includes an Internet.bs registrar module. Gonna try it out and will report back.
thernes
Seems that WHMCS 4.3.1 includes an Internet.bs registrar module. Gonna try it out and will report back. You are correct that a module is included with WHMCS: The link provided is for the module that internet.bs provides themselves. Have no idea if it is the same or about any differences from the one included in WHMCS.
maara
Module you download straight from internet.bs is better as it contain a few files for ability to also register couple of more domains like .eu .it and couple of others. This is not included in module bundled with whmcs - so if you need register .eu go with module from internet.bs site Ps: yes the renewal part is a bit trick - its only thing I dont like on internet.bs a no need for that sort of tricks I think as renewal price is still good (not superb throught...) , domain management is great, support is fastest I have seen on domain registrars and free privacy maybe good for somebody too but I personally dont use privacy anywhere as its kinda risky in moment if registrar becomes bancrupt ...
Roger
I personally use the internet.bs WHMCS modules with no issues thus far.
RAINFIRE
I've used them for five domain purchases with their API/WHMCS module. They are great and low cost. They have great support response time. I had to download their module as the nightly Sync script/cron job wasn't working with the one included with WHMCS 4.3.1. Theirs is a bit newer and works correctly.
jtbanks
Hey Everybody! I just purchased a license for WHMCS, however, I am having a tough time getting Internet.bs integrated with WHMCS. I uploaded the php files to the folder instructed, and nothing is happening. Any direction is appreciated.
Roger
download and install the WHMCS files from the internetbs.net site.
