CrimsonGT
My license expired, and while I no longer need WHMCS for my company (I never opened so it has just been sitting) I was going to use my install to do some development. I went to access it, and my WHMCS won't even work now that my license has expired. Is this normal? I am used to not getting updates anymore after software license expires, but just shutting down my WHMCS because I don't have an active license seems absolutely ridiculous...
laszlof
If you purchase an owned license this doesn't happen. The monthly licenses work that way.
Damo
It doesn't sound ridiculous if you're using the the Monthly Lease license. It's active only whilst the license is current. Sounds like the Owned License is the version that would suit you best. There's no obligation to keep the support updates current so you can develop away on the version you own.
yongkailoon
Yes, if you purchased an owned license for your WHMCS, it will still work (although without updates after a year). It seems that you are on the monthly leased license.

Grizzlyware Josh
You mean your license expired and now it doesn't work?? Crikey... I think it's good that they let the front end, still work without a valid license!
xperience
You mean your license expired and now it doesn't work?? Crikey... <<snipped>> I had the same problem last month when I stopped paying my phone bill and now my phone doesn't work and I've not payed my mortgage for six months and these people keep coming to my door saying I can't live here any more. Crazy world eh!
CrimsonGT
<<snipped>> This is indeed an owned license, I bought it around July of last year and like others have said in this thread, it should still work minus the updates. Thanks to those of you that weren't rude about it, I will file a ticket.
