Wrong Email being sent for order...

I have a downloadable product. I've setup a new email with the download link for that product. When I set up the product I chose the appropriate new email to be sent. For some reason its sending out the Order Confirmation email. Maybe I'm just thinking it should send out the email I setup in the product page. Am I wrong?

Hey John: thanks for the reply. I didn't notice if the box was checked so I went back and looked and it is checked to send welcome email. Is the email processing attached to a cron job? Maybe that's it.







The order confirmation email is always sent, so it sounds like your product welcome email isn't being sent.

When you accept the order via the order details page is the "Send Welcome Email" checkbox ticked?
