awardle
Hi, My annual subscription with provided support is due for renewal and i thought it would be time to re check what is out there in terms of live chat software. Initially provided support worked a treat but they updated the windows software which seemed to be a bit buggy and also the mac software fails to work properly after your mac has been in sleep mode I have just found this one on the web which looks pretty good, http://www.websitealive.com/ they also have an iPhone application which sends you push notifications to notify you that someone wants to chat and you can do it from the phone. Has anyone had any experience with this company? would love to hear more or any recommendations about other live support software. Thanks Aaron
scurrell
Seems expensive. We use Stardevelop Live Help - http://www.stardevelop.com/ - and it works really well.

awardle
Thanks for the replies, re looking at the price list it does seem a bit expensive for me at the moment just for the basic version, although some of the pro version features look good along with the iPhone app. I think for now i will just continue with provided support as I really need a Mac client will just have to remember to restart app when the mac has been in sleep mode. Thanks Aaron
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted May 24, 2010 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted May 24, 2010 I have personally used Websitealive in the past and found Provide Support superior. But that was a long time ago, so can't comment on their current product. I do like using a hosted live chat service (as opposed to one you host yourself) as it adds a third layer of redundancy to support contact methods.

rlshosting
I have tried Livezilla in the past and it seems pretty good and free.
Sean Hudson
We use LiveZilla and I agree with rlshosting, it is great and free. The free version has a livezilla footer on it but if you pay 79 euros, they take it off. Either way it is great software - free or paid. http://www.livezilla.com/downloads/en/

Thanks Aaron LiveZilla is much better than any paid software i've ever used, it does everything, and it's 100% free like Sean Hudson said, but it only cost 49eur to get the back like to livezille removed (One time payment and last for life) 'www.livezilla.com you can also place your own logo etc on there!
rwvpn
Are there any out there that are browser based, and runs on linux. I am really not a fan of windows at all.
ct2k7
I absolutely hate StarDevelop, and apparently, so did my potential customers . Our own results show that they were more inclined to use the system, with Kayako's software in place.
