[RESOLVED] Renewals allows UK domains to be renewed outside of renewal period

When a customer views the renewals category in th cart, UK domain names outside of the renewal period (even up to 2 years ahead) can be ticked and and an order placed (invoice raised) for the renewal of that domain.

Obviously this fails with Nominet and so we have to manually reset the date, refund or credit the amount paid, and contact the customer to advise them.

Surely the renewals category file in the shopping cart should only show or allow domains which can be renewed to be renewed?

This has happened 3 times now in the 4 days I've had 4.2 installed on my system.

This is the internal error that occurs in the todo list of WHMCS:

Client ID 1062 has paid for the renewal of domain ********.co.uk and the automated renewal attempt has failed with the following error: Object is not eligible for renewal

Penguin, thanks for this. I've implemented all of those on the clientareadomaindetails.tpl file and are working great.

However, the original problem on the cart.php?gid=renewals (which I'm assuming is the orderforms/default/domainrenewals.tpl file) still remains.

There must be a way to make the checkboxes appear only for domains which are over 30 days (or whatever period you want).

My system is set to raise invoices for domain renewals when they reach 30 days before due date. So, I would want the domainrenewals page to show the domain and days left, but either show the days before expiry, or the message 'Invoice Raised' and no checkbox for those domains.

Otherwise, customers can simply raise multiple invoices for the same domain renewal. (And they do).

In the meantime, I've just disabled this page in the General Settings | Domains | Enable Renewal Orders to avoid this double ordering issue
