Details of Email Piping Method

Hi,

I'm a newbie to this WHMCS & my website is running in version 4.2.1. I have setup currently the email piping, but due to my lack of knowledge in this field, I am unable to understand whether my setup of email piping is working or not.

Please adjust with me, for the following lines, which I am telling you guys as to what I have done.

  1. I have created a department "D1", with one email id (egemail@domain.com) which exists in the same domain where the WHMCS is currently installed.
  2. I opened my cPanel Forwarders section, and added one forwarder with the above email id. Also I added the option "Pipe to a Program" & set the address as "public_html/username/pipe/pipe.php".
  3. I then opened a test ticket with the target department as "D1", but no such mail was sent to the "egemail@domain.com" email id.

Any guesses from anybody, as to what is happening or as to what I'm missing here.

Any help on this is greatly appreciated.

_______________

Thanks & Regards,

Anutosh

Email piping means that when you send an email to egemail@domain.com it will open a support ticket in WHMCS. It also enables clients and admins to reply directly to the notification emails instead of logging into the client area.
