apignard
Hello, We use nat loadbalancing and i notice that's WHMCS license track private IP. Do we need several license or one license ? As far i known license said it's per firm. We plan provide whmcs for customers on our lb server and will be a real problem in case we need 1 license per node. timgws
Hey apignard, I know that this is going to come across sounding a little bit rude, but if you have a load balanced solution in a datacenter consisting of more then one server, then surely you would have the money to purchase more then one license of WHMCS? That being said, we did not load balance our install of WHMCS on all but one node because of the cost of licensing - so it would be cool if Matt could clarify this a little bit more. Benoit
WHMCS licensing system will verify the IP, Domain and Installation Path. In other words, it's one license per IP, Domain and Installation Path.

mylove4life
So if you have 3 servers and one domain and using load balancing, you only need one lic. is that correct...
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted March 30, 2010 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted March 30, 2010 That is correct.
bridge476
I have three servers, but not load balancing (yet). I am trying to put certain lower end account on a server that does not have the horse power that other servers do. And certain accounts on a better machine, and free account on the third. Does this scenario require more than one license? And how do I set it up to use just one domain for the reseller, for the different servers? Does this also mean that I would require another instance of WHMCS?
mylove4life
that is something completly different as to what we are talking about really. You would have different servers for your services and have WHMCS add to them.
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted April 2, 2010 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted April 2, 2010 WHMCS can definitely handle that with only one installation and license. A single installation can handle an unlimited number of servers.
disgruntled
I have three servers, but not load balancing (yet). Does this also mean that I would require another instance of WHMCS? For this set up you would do it in the servers set up adding all three servers, then in your packages you choose which server you want the package to be created on, this isnt load balancing exactly its server selection.
